August Brings the Team Format: Time to Rally

August marks a major shift on the GOLFZON Tour Season 2 as competition transitions from Individual Qualifiers to Team Qualifiers. After two exciting months of solo play, it’s time for host facilities to rally their squads and chase the next round of glory.

Team Qualifying Starts Now

Each host facility must submit a fully completed Team Entry Form by August 5 to participate in team qualifying. This month, the teams will be narrowed down from 72 to 24, setting the stage for the Tour’s most competitive stretch yet.

To qualify, every team member must play one round on each of the three official August courses. The GOLFZON GSM software will combine the best individual score per course per player to form a 12-score team total.

The top 22 teams based on combined performance will move on, joined by two title sponsors to round out the final field of 24.

Quail Hollow Club
A PGA TOUR favorite and home of the Wells Fargo Championship, Quail Hollow, which also hosted two PGA Championships and Presidents Cup, tests precision with slick greens and tough finishing holes.

Old Head Golf Links
Known for its stunning cliffs and coastal winds, Old Head offers dramatic elevation changes and one of the most scenic (and punishing) layouts in the game.

Cog Hill Golf Club
A Midwestern classic, Cog Hill challenges players with deep bunkers, narrow fairways, and a reputation as one of the toughest public tracks in the U.S.

What’s Next in the GOLFZON Tour? Round Robin Team Play

In September, the top 24 teams will be divided into four divisions for Round Robin play.each team will face off five other teams in the same division in weekly head-to-head matchups. Two teams from each division will advance to the Round of 8.

This format blends individual skill with team strategy — bringing a new level of excitement to competitive indoor golf.
